Robert Gardner receives prestigious invitation

  Seguin photographer and artist Robert “Bob” Gardner has been invited to participate in the 2011 “Search for Outstanding and Undiscovered Fine Art Photography” sponsored by The Curator Group in New York .  

One of his photographs, above, is among those which will be featured in his Seguin Heritage Museum exhibit, opening April 1, coinciding with the 14th Anniversary of the museum.


  Gardner's work will be among submitted works will be judged by industry professionals and the selected finalists will be part of the Curator group show at the Milk Gallery Space in New York City this summer.

In addition, each chosen photographer will receive a two page spread in a print gallery in the July issue of Photo District News, with a distribution of 25,000 readers including photo editors, art directors and art buyers.
Bob will be submitting entries in several categories including portraits, nature and street photography.

Texas History Takes the Spotlight at HEB, Seguin

Seguin Heritage Museum will be displaying an exhibit at Seguin HEB ,1368 East Court Street  which will celebrate Revolutionary Texas and early Texas History.
Dates for the exhibit are Sat. March 5 and March 12.
The exhibit will be located inside HEB  near the Deli , and will be open from 11 a.m. -3p.m. both Saturdays.
The historic display is coordinated with  HEB's recognition of the 175th Anniversry of Texas Independence and is being observed around the state. Many other exhibits will be featured outside the store in the new parking lot behind First Commercial Bank.
  Museum Director, John Gesick; Museum Manager, Pat Kenneaster; and  volunteers have coordinated the items for the display, which is of general historical interest and will be  especially informative for students, teachers and all those who enjoy memorabilia, documents and photos pertaining to  Texas history.
 Also on display will be artifacts discovered from the Floyd and Jody McKee archaeological dig, south of Seguin.
